CONNECT
CONNECT, our outdoor education program, brings participants into the wilderness to practice leadership rather than just talk about it. In an unfamiliar and often uncomfortable environment, they work as a team to meet real challenges where their choices matter and they depend on one another. Along the way, they apply teamwork, resilience, mindfulness, empathy, and service.
Each experience offers a chance for both personal and group growth. Participants learn to lead and to follow, to stay steady when things get difficult, to notice what others need, and to look out for the group. The wilderness gives these lessons weight, because the consequences are immediate and shared.
Reflection turns experience into learning. Through group debriefs and personal reflection, participants look back on what happened, what they did, and what they would do differently, and they name the lessons worth keeping.
We hope participants carry these lessons with them and use them at home, at school, at work, and in their communities.
